The Rescue Inn, Inc. (“TRI”) is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need. We are a (501(c)(3) organization run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals. It takes a village to save a dog and to support that dog on its journey to finding a permanent, loving home.

Rescue Inn’s Fur Friend of the Month Meet Tripp!

Here, we spotlight animals from The Rescue Inn who are in need of loving homes or require fundraising for essential medical care.

This month we are featuring: Tripp! Tripp was born the end of June 2024 and is 11 months old. He is a sheepdog/cattle/heeler mix weighing in about 70 pounds.

Here’s a bit about Tripp:
🥎 Tripp is a big, exuberant puppy with the high puppy energy to go along. He would excel with an active family.
🥎 Friendly, happy disposition
🥎 Does great with dogs of all sizes
🥎 We recommend older children since Tripp is big and his energy may scare young children, or he may knock over the little ones
🥎 A fenced-in yard would be ideal so he has room to run
🥎 Crate trained
🥎 Housebroken
🥎 Still very much a puppy so will need structure like any other puppy
🥎 Loves to play fetch with volleyballs or soccer balls
🥎 A fan of tug-of-war with his rope toys
🥎 Walks outside make him happy!
🥎 Nips when playing or excited (that’s both the puppy in him and the breed mix!)
🥎 Has some training background – knows sit and touch
